Bobbi Kristina's Gran Talks about Granddaughter's Difficult Condition
Media went crazy when Bobbi Kristina Brown was found face down in a bathtub unconscious, similarly to the way her mother was found dead three years earlier. And while her father, famous singer Bobby Brown, his attorney and others claim Bobbi is out of the coma and responsive, her grandmother has issued a sobering statement.
"I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma, she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive," Houston's statement said. "Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me. We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time. Keep us in your prayers.”
Bobbi’s condition has not improved; she has, said her grandmother Cisssy Houston, irreparable brain damage and remains unresponsive. The statement came as a response to Bobbi’s paternal side of the family’s comments saying she is better. At a concert in Texas her father said that Bobbi is awake and “watching me.” After that, Bobbi’s aunt Tina Brown wrote on Facebook that Bobbi Kristina "woke up and is no longer on life support ... she is going to be OK."
This is not the first time that two sides of Bobbi Kristina’s family issued conflicting statements. They have been unable to see each other eye to eye. But whatever the statements are, claim the doctors, Bobbi’s condition cannot be evaluated with mere observation. Very precise instruments are required to foresee the outcome.
