Lisa Marie Presley is millions in debt
In the middle of her divorce battle, the “King’s” daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, introduced documents that show that she has a debt of $16 million.
Two years ago, the singer, who is more famous for being Elvis Presley’s daughter, and for being married to the late Pop King, Michael Jackson, filed for divorce from her current husband, Michael Lockwood.
Recently, her lawyer submitted documents that showed that Lisa is more than $16 million in debt. She explained to the court that she has to pay $10 million in taxes for the last few years, $6 million for her UK home mortgage, around $50 000 for bills on her credit cards, and tens of thousands of dollars for attorneys.
As the record showed, Lisa’s current monthly salary from her late father's estate is slightly over $4,361, and she receives dividends and interest from investments, which sums up to $100,000.
As further evidence of her hard financial situation, Lisa stated that she lives with her children and her husband, and that her monthly expenses are over $120,000, which includes rent, mortgage payments, rent, utilities, attorney fees, credit card debt, and food.
